Max Wilson

Max`s songs have been recorded by several artists, The Nerve rock band, Billy K.O, the dance artist , Awesome Thing, a pop band and mainly by himself because he can sing. “I`m not a brilliant singer, but on the day can get by” says Max. “It`s the feeling you put over that counts rather then technical brilliance.”

Max writes on the guitar. “It is the best rhythm instrument there is “.

Max cites songwriter Tom Johnstone (Long Train Coming) as a big influence.” Tom advised writers to take time to perfect each song, staying critical all the way” says Max. Max plays other writers hit songs continually, collecting and absorbing hits and dissecting them. But the writers he plays all wrote in the sixties, seventies and eighties. His favourites? A mixed retro bunch of names. Amongst them are Lennon and McCartney, Smokey Robinson, Bob Dylan, Boudleau and Felice Bryant, Carl Perkins.

Max tries to give his audience a memorable tune and a mood , whether it be emotional or plain foot stompin` enjoyment. “You should be able to cry or bop with me. ” he promises.

Lyndon Robbins

An all round musician and singer, Lyndon, from Ross-on-Wye, has played in more then twenty bands , playing blues, folk, rock.He has been Max`s side kick for ten years now. Lyndon is influenced by The Eagles, Steely Dan, Stones, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

Lyndon is a multi-instrumentalist and plays six and twelve string electric guitar, accoustic guitar, slide guitar, harmonica and bass guitar and sings vocals. Lyndon is a musician who can play any tune he has just heard and it seems almost any instrument which has strings He is a well known face in his home town where he is often seen getting up to play with visiting folk and blues bands.

Lyndon is interested in archaeology, history, reading historical novels and environmental issues.

As part of the duo Lyndon has made two albums with Max and they were recently united to re-record their old material and make lots more albums using up Max`s unrecorded portfolio of 150 songs.

Currently ( summer 2008 ) Max and Lyndon and some musician buddies are beginning to use their new recording studio and are writing blues and rock songs . Max has a load of new ballads as well. So look out for the developing music on a link from this website.
